Device Owned: Nokia E51 S60 3rd version phone
Objective: Installing flash application or swf to the phone
Ever fancy an Iphone? Well I did...Until I got myself a E51. Is the phone that I really hit the spot. With 2MP camera (standard), all Connectivity (any kind of connectivity you can think of, 3G, EDGE UMTS dual-band global 3G (850/2100 MHz), Quad-band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), bluetooth, Infra-red, USB, and even WIFI :)
It is truly a phone for Business man. Want Full Spec?
Well, if I still fancy an Iphone, I can still do so, with a flash GUI. That makes it looks like an Iphone. :P
Final result:
Try it!!!
Here's how:
1. Nokia S60 3rd Phone.
2. Flash Lite Player - Included on all models (if not, u can download it from adobe)
3. Nokia PC Suite - Included with all models
4. USB Data Cable/Card Reader/Bluetooth to transfer files to your phone
5. Flash files (file extension .swf) for the Iphone GUI
Downloading SWF files and transfering them to your phone
1. Download any desired files to your PC
2. Connect your phone to your PC using your USB cable. You must have the Nokia PC Suite installed on your PC. Note that you do not need to open the PC Suite at this time.
3. On your PC, go to Start -> My Computer. One of the entries in My Computer will be Nokia Phone Browser. Double-click on it.
4. Double-click on your phone.
5. Choose either Phone Memory or Memory Card if you would like to save the flash content on your phone.
6. For ease of use you should save your flash content in one of two directories.
C:\Data\Others or E:\Others
These are the only two directories that the Flash Lite Player can access so browse to one of those two directories.
7. Once the transfer is complete and the new filename(s) is displayed in your Nokia browser window, you may close the window and disconnect your phone from your PC.
8. For E51, open Menu-> Media -> Flash Player
and launch your flash file from that location
